How to Make Kumpir (Stuffed Baked Potato) at Home

Wash the large potatoes chosen for your kumpir (one large potato per person). Wrap each one individually first in parchment paper, then in aluminum foil. Arrange them on a baking tray and bake in a 200°C (400°F) oven for 2 hours. Once cooked, make a lengthwise slit down the center of each potato.

Add 1 dessert spoon (about 2 tsp) of butter, a little salt, and 2 tablespoons of grated kaşar cheese inside, then use a fork to mash and mix everything into the potato. Spoon over a garnish mixture folded together with mayonnaise. You can also top with cornichon pickles, green olives, black olives, and boiled sausage as desired. Enjoy!
