- 12 tablespoons granulated sugar + 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

How to Make Quince Dessert (Ayva Tatlısı)
Wash 3 quinces, peel them, and cut them in half. Remove and scoop out the cores from the center of each half. Line the bottom of a pot with the quince peels. Add some of the removed seeds on top of the peels. Place the quinces on top and add 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar into each hollowed-out center. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar into the pot. Pour in enough water to reach the level of the quinces and cook until softened. Arrange the cooked quinces in a glass baking dish and pour all of the liquid from the pot (just the liquid) over them. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C (400°F) until the tops are golden. Once cooled, serve with kaymak (Turkish clotted cream). Enjoy!
