- 1 packet vanilla
- 1 dessert spoon (about 2 tsp) cocoa powder
- 1 water glass (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) crushed walnuts
- 1 dessert spoon (about 2 tsp) cinnamon
- 4 dessert spoons (about 8 tsp) honey
- Wheat starch
How to Make Damat Bohçası (Turkish Stuffed Bundle Cookies)
- In a bowl, combine 4 tablespoons of butter, 1 egg, 1 tea glass of powdered sugar, 1 water glass of flour, 1 packet of baking powder, and 1 packet of vanilla. Knead briefly, then gradually add wheat starch until the dough comes together. Set aside a handful of the prepared dough and knead it with 1 dessert spoon of cocoa powder to make the cocoa dough.
- In a separate bowl, mix together 1 water glass of crushed walnuts, 1 dessert spoon of cinnamon, and 4 dessert spoons of honey. Take a handful of the plain dough and flatten it in your palm. Place 1 dessert spoon of the walnut filling in the center and shape it into a bundle (bohça). Prepare long strips from the reserved cocoa dough and wrap them over the top of each bundle to decorate. Bake at 180°C (350°F) until the tops are golden brown.
Enjoy!
