Ingredients for Two-Tone Cookies (İki Renkli Kurabiye)

  • 1 water glass (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) powdered sugar
  • 1 tea glass (about 100 ml / 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp) starch
  • 1 egg
  • 1 packet soft vegetable margarine
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 packet vanilla
  • Flour as needed
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder

How to Make Two-Tone Cookies (İki Renkli Kurabiye)

In a bowl, knead together 1 water glass of powdered sugar, 1 tea glass of starch, 1 egg, 1 packet of soft vegetable margarine, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 packet of vanilla, and as much flour as needed, then divide the dough into two equal portions. Add 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder to one portion and knead it in. Take pieces from each dough and roll them into long strips (one plain, one chocolate). Layer them on top of each other and roll them up into a log. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) until the white sides of the cookies turn lightly golden. Enjoy!
