Ingredients for Chicken with Vegetables (Garnitürlü Tavuk)
- 4 pieces bone-in chicken thighs
- 1/2 tea glass (about 50 ml / 3 tbsp + 1 tsp) vegetable oil
- 1 onion
- 1 red pepper
- 3 tomatoes
- 1 can mixed vegetables (peas and carrots)
- 1/2 water glass (about 100 ml / 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp) water
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 dessert spoon (about 1 tsp) salt
How to Make Chicken with Vegetables (Garnitürlü Tavuk)
We rinse the 4 bone-in chicken thighs and cube them into a pot. We cover the pot and cook over low heat in their own juices. Once the liquid has been absorbed, we add half a tea glass (about 50 ml / 3 tbsp + 1 tsp) of vegetable oil, 1 onion, and 1 red pepper diced for cooking, then sauté. We add 3 peeled and cubed tomatoes, then drain and rinse 1 small can of mixed vegetables and stir them in. We add half a water glass (about 100 ml / 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp) of water, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and half a dessert spoon of salt. Once it comes to a boil, we reduce the heat and let it cook.
