Ingredients for Gavurdağı Salatası (Turkish Walnut and Pomegranate Salad)
- 4 tomatoes
- 2 cucumbers
- 1 onion
- 2-3 pinches of parsley
- 2 long green peppers
- 1 tea glass (about 100 ml / 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp) crushed walnuts
- 3 tablespoons pomegranate molasses
- Half a tea glass (about 50 ml) olive oil
- Juice of a quarter lemon
- Half a dessert spoon (about 1 tsp) salt
How to Make Gavurdağı Salatası (Turkish Walnut and Pomegranate Salad)
In a deep bowl, dice 4 tomatoes and 2 cucumbers into small cubes. Finely chop 1 onion, 2-3 pinches of parsley, and 2 long green peppers. Add 1 tea glass (about 100 ml / 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp) of crushed walnuts. Finally, add 3 tablespoons of pomegranate molasses, half a tea glass of olive oil, the juice of a quarter lemon, and half a dessert spoon of salt, then mix thoroughly. Transfer to a serving plate and serve.
