Ingredients for Haydari (Turkish Yogurt and Herb Dip)

  • 6 tablespoons strained yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 dessert spoon vegetable oil
  • 1 dessert spoon mint
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 slice white cheese (similar to feta)
  • 1 clove garlic

How to Make Haydari (Turkish Yogurt and Herb Dip)

In a bowl, crumble 1 slice of white cheese (similar to feta) by mashing it with a fork. Add 6 tablespoons of strained yogurt, 1 crushed garlic clove, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

In a pan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter, 1 dessert spoon of vegetable oil, and 1 dessert spoon of mint together. Set aside to cool to lukewarm.

Mix in the white cheese, dill, mint butter, crushed garlic, and salt. Drizzle the lukewarm mint-infused oil over the top and blend everything together. Transfer to a serving plate and serve garnished with dill. Enjoy!
