- 12 dried figs
- 1 water glass (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) crushed walnuts
- 2 water glasses (about 400 ml / 1 3/4 cups) water
- 1 water glass (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) granulated sugar
How to Make Stuffed Fig Dessert (İncir Tatlısı)
Place 12 dried figs in a bowl, cover with water until fully submerged, and soak for 30 minutes. Drain the soaked figs. Trim off the stem ends. Press gently with your hand to open them up like a cup. Arrange the figs in a glass baking dish. Divide 1 water glass (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) of crushed walnuts among the figs, filling each one.
In a saucepan, combine 2 water glasses (about 400 ml / 1 3/4 cups) of water and 1 water glass (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) of granulated sugar, and warm gently until the sugar dissolves. Spoon this sugar syrup evenly over the figs. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for 15–20 minutes.
