Ingredients for Sausage Rolls (Sosisli Rulo)
- 5-6 long sausages
- 2 eggs
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 4-5 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons yogurt
- 1.5 tea glasses (about 150 ml / 2/3 cup) milk
- Flour, as much as needed
- Salt
- Sesame seeds
How to Make Sausage Rolls (Sosisli Rulo)
First, mix 1 packet of dry yeast, 4-5 tablespoons of vegetable oil, eggs, 1.5 tea glasses (about 150 ml / 2/3 cup) of milk, and 2 tablespoons of yogurt together. Then add salt and flour as much as needed, and once the dough reaches the consistency of an earlobe, leave it to rest for about 1 hour. Divide the dough into 3 balls. Be careful not to roll the dough too thin. Cut the dough pieces into triangles. If your sausages are thick and long, cut them in half and place them on the dough pieces. If you like, you can also add white cheese or kaşar cheese at this stage. Then shape them into rolls and arrange them on a baking tray. Brush the tops with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds, then place in the oven. Serve hot. Enjoy!
