Ingredients for Green Lentil Pilaf

  • 2 water glasses (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp each) rice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 water glass (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) green lentils
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 water glasses (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp each) water

How to Make Green Lentil Pilaf

Sort and rinse 2 water glasses of rice. Place in a bowl, cover with hot water until submerged, and let soak until the water cools. In a pilaf pot, sauté 1 finely diced onion in 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add 1 water glass of boiled green lentils and 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and sauté for a little longer. Add 3 water glasses of water, then add the drained rice and sprinkle with salt.
