How to Make Pear Christmas Cake (Armutlu Yılbaşı Pastası)
Peel 2 pears, slice them lengthwise, drizzle with 1 tablespoon of honey, and mix. Line a baking tray with parchment paper, grease the parchment paper with butter, and spread the sliced pears over it. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of cinnamon over the pears. In a separate bowl, beat 3 eggs with half a water glass of granulated sugar. Add 1 water glass of milk, 1 water glass of vegetable oil, 2 dessert spoons of cocoa powder, 1 packet of baking powder, 1 packet of vanilla, and flour as needed, then beat again. Pour the prepared batter over the pears and bake in an oven preheated to 190°C (375°F). Remove the cake from the mold by flipping it upside down so the pears are on top. Whip 1 water glass of milk with 1 water glass of whipped cream and spread it over the cake. In a separate bowl, whip 1 water glass of milk, 1 water glass of whipped cream, and 1 teaspoon of green food coloring, then fill a piping bag and pipe a ribbon border around the edges of the cake. You can use various candy decorations of your choice to decorate the top of the cake. Enjoy your meal. Happy New Year…
About This Recipe
The pear is the sweet and juicy fruit of the Rosaceae (rose) family. It can be green, yellow, red, or brown. The pear, which is very juicy and quite sweet, is one of the higher-calorie fruits. It is especially loved by children, mainly due to its natural sugar content.
Although there are firm varieties of pear, it is actually classified in the soft fruit group. It has been determined that there are 15 million pear trees in our country. They are sensitive to cold during the winter season. The pear fruit prefers a temperate climate. Pear orchards should be located in areas with mild winds that are not exposed to extreme cold. No special type of soil is required for growing pear trees. However, due to their taproot structure, the soil used should be deep, permeable, and rich in minerals. A pear tree can grow between 13 and 15 meters tall. After the saplings are planted, they begin to bear fruit slowly between approximately 4 and 7 years. By the age of 8 to 10 years, an average pear tree can yield between 30 and 50 kg (66–110 lb) of fruit.
