- 1 tablespoon butter
- Flour, as needed
- A tiny pinch (tip of a teaspoon) of red food coloring
- 500 g (about 1 lb) milk + 1 water glass (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) cold milk + 2 tea glasses (about 100 ml / 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp each) milk
- 1 water glass (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) flour
- 50 g (about 1.75 oz) margarine
- 1 packet vanilla
- 1 packet whipped cream mix
- 4 dessert spoons (about 2 tsp each) cocoa powder
How to Make Kiwi Chocolate Cake (Kivili Kakaolu Pasta)
- In a bowl, knead together 1 egg, 50 g (about 1.75 oz) powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon butter, and as much flour as needed. Add a tiny amount of red food coloring (just the tip of a teaspoon) and knead again. On the counter, roll the dough out thinly by hand, cut it with a heart-shaped cutter, place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, and bake in a 200°C (390°F) oven until done.
- In a pot, combine 500 g (about 1 lb) milk, 1 water glass (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) flour, and 50 g (about 1.75 oz) margarine. Add 1 beaten egg and 1 water glass (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) powdered sugar to the mixture. Cook over low heat, stirring, until it reaches a muhallebi (Turkish milk pudding) consistency. Once the mixture has cooled to lukewarm, add 1 packet of vanilla and beat with a mixer. Separately, whip 1 packet of whipped cream mix with 1 water glass (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) cold milk, then pour into the pudding mixture. Add 4 dessert spoons of cocoa powder and beat everything together.
- Take 1 store-bought plain sponge cake and set the top layer aside. Soak both separated cake layers with 1 tea glass (about 100 ml / 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp) of milk each (separately). Place the bottom cake layer on a serving plate. Divide the prepared cream mixture in half. Into one half, stir in 4 kiwis cut into slices and mix well. Spread this kiwi cream mixture over the bottom cake layer on the serving plate. Place the top cake layer over it and spread the remaining cream mixture over the sides and top to cover fully. If you have leftover cream, set it aside. Dust the top with cocoa powder using a tea strainer. If you love cocoa, feel free to add plenty. Place the baked heart-shaped dough piece on top. Close the cake serving plate lid and refrigerate for 3–4 hours before serving. If you had leftover cream and set it aside, you can use it to make a biscuit cake as well. Enjoy!… ♥♥♥
Baking Tip
We made 1 heart shape, but if you prefer, you can cut out 2–3 heart shapes from this dough.
