- 1 water glass (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) peas
- 1 onion
- 1 potato
- 5 water glasses (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp each) water
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon cream
- 1 dessert spoon (about 2 tsp) salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Dill
How to Make Pea Soup (Bezelye Çorbası) with Potato and Dill
Place 1 water glass (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) of peas into a pot. Quarter 1 onion and 1 potato and add them in. Pour in 4 water glasses of water and, once the ingredients are cooked, blend everything with an immersion blender.
In a saucepan, sauté 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of flour together. Add 1 water glass of water and whisk thoroughly with a hand mixer. Add this mixture into the soup and bring to a boil, stirring with a hand mixer. Stir in 1 dessert spoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, then remove from heat.
When serving, drizzle 1 tablespoon of cream over the top and garnish with dill.
