Content Submission Guidelines

1. General Principles

Tarifi Kolay is a community platform where users can share their own recipes. To maintain the platform's reliability and quality, all submitted content goes through a moderation process before being published.

The rules on this page explain which recipes are accepted, how content should be prepared, and how the moderation process works. Submitting a recipe means you have read and accepted these rules.

2. Core Acceptance Criteria

A recipe must meet all of the following conditions in order to be published:

• It must be your own. The recipe you submit must be entirely your own original content. Recipes taken from another website, book, or source are not accepted, even if the source is credited.

• It must be written in Turkish. All content — including the recipe title, ingredient list, and preparation steps — must be in Turkish.

• It must be a food or beverage recipe. Cosmetic, cleaning product, herbal remedy, or other non-food content types are not accepted.

• It must not contain alcohol. Alcoholic beverages or recipes that include alcohol as an ingredient will not be published.

• It must not contain misleading or health-hazardous information. Recipes found to contain incorrect measurements, dangerous ingredient combinations, or faulty cooking methods will be rejected.

3. Recipe Title

The title must describe the recipe clearly and directly.

Acceptable examples:

• Baked Lemon Chicken

• Lentil Soup (Mercimek Çorbası) — Classic Recipe

• Orange Revani

Not accepted:

• Titles containing advertising or brand names ("I used Brand X flour")

• Exaggerated or clickbait phrases ("The World's Best Köfte (Turkish Meatballs)!!!")

• Vague titles that don't describe the recipe ("My mom's recipe", "Today's meal")

• Titles containing emojis or special characters

4. Ingredient List

Ingredients must be written in free-text format along with quantities and units of measurement. Unclear phrasing reduces recipe quality.

Acceptable examples:

• 2 water glasses (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp each) of flour

• 3 tablespoons of olive oil

• 1 teaspoon of salt

• 200 g (about 7 oz) white cheese (similar to feta)

Not accepted:

• Ingredients without measurements ("a little salt", "enough oil")

• Required ingredients specifying a brand name ("use Brand X margarine")

• Incomplete or vague ingredient lists

If there are alternative or optional ingredients, you may state them clearly ("optional: 1 dessert spoon (about 2 tsp) of cinnamon").

5. Preparation Steps

The preparation section must be written clearly enough for someone who has never made the recipe before to follow.

• Each step must be listed separately and in logical order.

• Critical details such as cooking time, temperature, and consistency must be stated clearly.

• The estimated cooking/preparation time and the number of servings (serving size) must be specified.

Not accepted:

• Steps described in a confusing manner within a single paragraph

• Vague directions such as "prepare as you know" or "make in the usual way"

• Skipping or leaving out critical steps

6. Photo Guidelines

6.1 Cover (Main) Photo — Required

A cover photo is required for every recipe. This photo must:

• Be your own and original. Photos taken from the internet, copied from another site, or generated by artificial intelligence are not accepted.

• Be taken with clear and adequate lighting. Blurry, dark, or heavily filtered images will be rejected.

• Accurately represent the recipe. The dish in the photo must be consistent with the final result of the submitted recipe.

• Not be low resolution. A minimum of 800×600 pixels is recommended.

6.2 Additional Photos — Optional

Additional photos showing the preparation stages may be included. The same originality and quality rules apply to these as well.

6.3 Prohibited Visual Content

• Photos belonging to others (copyright infringement)

• Images containing watermarks or logos from other sites

• Photos of individuals taken without their consent

• Inappropriate or offensive visual content

7. Out-of-Scope Content

The following types of content will not be published under any circumstances:

• Alcoholic beverages or recipes that include alcohol as an ingredient

• Non-food content (cosmetics, cleaning products, medicine, etc.)

• Recipes written in a foreign language

• Submissions containing recipes or photos belonging to others

• Advertising, promotional, or commercially motivated content

• Recipes that are clearly harmful or dangerous to health

• Content containing insults, discrimination, or inappropriate language

8. Moderation Process

8.1 Review Period

Submitted recipes are reviewed within 48 hours. During busy periods this timeframe may be extended; you will be notified if that happens.

8.2 Approval

If the recipe is found to comply with these rules, it will be published and become visible on your profile. A publication notification will be sent by email.

8.3 Rejection

If the recipe is rejected:

• The reason for rejection can be viewed in your account.

• You may edit the recipe in line with the stated reason and resubmit it.

• The resubmitted recipe will also go through the moderation process.

8.4 Consecutive Rejections and Restrictions

If the same recipe is rejected 3 times in a row, a 30-day recipe submission restriction will be applied to your account. During this period your existing recipes will remain published; only the ability to submit new recipes will be temporarily disabled.

Once the restriction period ends, the recipe submission feature will automatically become active again.

9. Status of Published Content

Published recipes and comments become part of the Tarifi Kolay platform under the Membership Terms and Terms of Use. Even if you suspend or delete your account, your content may remain on the platform anonymously.

Tarifi Kolay reserves the right to remove or edit published recipes without prior notice on grounds of quality, timeliness, or compliance.

10. Rule Violations

In the event that content violating these rules is submitted:

• The content will be rejected or removed from publication.

• For repeated violations, the account may be temporarily suspended.

• For serious or intentional violations (such as copyright infringement, fake content, or platform manipulation), the account may be permanently closed.
