Ingredients for Baked Çinekop (Turkish Bluefish)
- 1 kg (about 2 lb) çinekop (bluefish)
- 2 carrots
- 10 pearl onions
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 potatoes
- 1 lemon
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 dessert spoon (about 2 tsp) salt
How to Make Baked Çinekop (Turkish Bluefish)
Clean and rinse 1 kg (about 2 lb) of çinekop (bluefish). Spread 2 grated carrots across the bottom of a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Place the fish on top. Arrange 10 pearl onions halved lengthwise, 3 cloves of chopped garlic, 2 potatoes cut into long strips, and 1 lemon sliced into half-rounds on the tray. Drizzle 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil over the fish and potatoes, and sprinkle with 1 dessert spoon (about 2 tsp) of salt. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) until golden brown.
