How to Make Baked Chicken with Mushrooms

Remove the skin from 8 chicken thighs, rinse them, and score both sides with a knife, then place them in a large bowl. Add 2 peeled onions, quartered. Add 2 peeled carrots, cut into thin strips. Add 10 cleaned, washed, and dried button mushrooms. Mix in 2 finely chopped garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, 1 teaspoon black pepper, and 1 teaspoon salt, then toss everything together. Transfer all the ingredients into a cast iron skillet greased with vegetable oil and arrange evenly. Cover with a sheet of parchment paper, then a layer of aluminum foil, sealing completely. Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) for 40 minutes covered, then uncover and bake for an additional 30 minutes.

About This Recipe

Mushrooms can double in size within 24 hours. Yes, you heard that right. Mushrooms grow so fast that within a single day they can become enormous. Thanks to the nutritious compounds they contain, mushrooms offer incredible benefits for the human body. Let's take a closer look at a few interesting mushroom varieties…

Chaga Mushroom: Because it contains high levels of antioxidants, it offers countless benefits ranging from bone development to nerve regeneration.
Amanita Muscaria Mushroom: This mushroom is toxic and causes the person who consumes it to lose their sense of balance. The individual begins to perceive both themselves and the world as larger. But don't worry — this toxin is not lethal.

Pilobolus Mushroom: This mushroom grows in animal dung. It stores its spores in a water droplet-shaped sac. When the spores mature, the sac bursts at 25 meters per second to scatter them. This speed is faster than almost anything on Earth. To put it in perspective: while Apollo 8, sent to Saturn, accelerates at 40 m/s, this mushroom can reach 1.7 million times that speed.

Magic Mushroom: This variety, which produces hallucinogenic effects, has been named the safest recreational substance. However, it is worth noting that this type of mushroom is illegal in our country. With over 200 different species, magic mushrooms have been consumed since the earliest known periods of human history.
