Ingredients for Mosaic Cake (Mozaik Kek)

  • 3 eggs
  • 1.5 water glasses (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp each) granulated sugar
  • 1 water glass vegetable oil
  • 1 water glass milk
  • Flour, as much as needed
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 packet vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 100 g (about 3.5 oz) dark chocolate

How to Make Mosaic Cake (Mozaik Kek)

In a bowl, beat 3 eggs together with 1.5 water glasses of granulated sugar. Add 1 water glass of vegetable oil, 1 water glass of milk, flour as needed, 1 packet of baking powder, and 1 packet of vanilla, then beat everything together. Divide the prepared batter in half into a separate bowl. Into the divided half, stir in 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and grate 100 g of dark chocolate, then mix to combine. Grease your cake pan and pour in the batter by alternating one layer of the chocolate mixture and one layer of the plain mixture until all the batter is used. Using a knife, swirl through the batter from side to side to create the mosaic pattern. Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F).
