Ingredients for Steamed Anchovy Bake (Hamsi Buğulama)
- 2 kg (about 4.4 lb) cleaned anchovies
- 1 onion
- 2 red bell peppers
- 2 long green peppers (sivri biber)
- 1 handful parsley
- 4 tomatoes
- 2 garlic cloves
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Oregano
How to Make Steamed Anchovy Bake (Hamsi Buğulama)
In a pan, sauté 1 finely diced onion, 2 red bell peppers, and 2 long green peppers in oil. Chop a handful of parsley over the top and stir briefly. Add 4 cube-diced tomatoes and 2 cube-diced garlic cloves, bring to a brief simmer, and season with salt and black pepper. Transfer all the ingredients into a glass baking dish. Arrange 2 kg (about 4.4 lb) of cleaned anchovies on top and sprinkle with a little oregano. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) until the fish are golden. Enjoy your meal...
