Cistus Creticus (Hairy Rockrose) Plant Challenges the Coronavirus!
Cistus Creticus, also known as the Hairy Rockrose plant, has been found to reduce coronavirus by 99.9% within a 10-minute contact period, thanks to its antiviral and antibacterial properties!

Antiviral support for protection against coronavirus
The fight against Covid-19 — which has affected the entire world in terms of health, economy, and social life — continues at full speed. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Gerek, Vice Rector of the University of Health Sciences and President of the Turkish Rhinology Society, stated that the best-known methods of protection today are masking, social distancing, and hygiene, and that a new era in the fight against Covid-19 may be beginning. He added: "Research conducted in Germany has shown that the Cistus Creticus plant, known for its antiviral and antibacterial properties, may play an effective role in combating enveloped viruses such as coronavirus and influenza."
Vaccine efforts against Covid-19 are rapidly continuing around the world. Experts indicate that the vaccine will most optimistically be found in 2021. It is known that currently the most effective method against Covid-19 — which is still making its impact felt in our country — is masking, social distancing, and hygiene. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Gerek, President of the Turkish Rhinology Society, announced that new research has determined that products containing Cistus Creticus plant extract are supportive in the fight against enveloped viruses.

"We must increase our precautions to prevent a second wave"
Gerek also noted that very good defenses were achieved in our country's fight against the epidemic up until May, adding: "With the summer season, and the opening of the wedding and vacation season, there was an increase in coronavirus case numbers. We need to take the necessary precautions to prevent these numbers from rising even further in the coming days, while continuing our social lives. Many countries in Europe and around the world are dealing with the second wave of Covid-19. We need to take the necessary personal and societal precautions to prevent a second wave in our country as well."
Its effectiveness against enveloped viruses has been established
Adding that the entire world is in the midst of a challenging pandemic period, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Gerek said: "In an in-vitro study conducted at an accredited laboratory in Berlin, Germany, it was determined that lozenges containing Cistus Creticus were able to achieve a 99.9% reduction in virus concentration against enveloped viruses within a 10-minute contact period. In line with this research, I believe that products containing Cistus Creticus plant extract — which demonstrate a high degree of antiviral efficacy against enveloped viruses that cause pandemics — will contribute to protection in the fight against Covid-19 in the period ahead."

It creates a barrier in the mouth and throat area
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Gerek continued: "The Cistus Creticus plant is known for its antioxidant properties. Lozenges containing Cistus Creticus plant extract create a protective barrier layer on the surface of the mouth and throat, exerting an effect against viruses. This layer prevents viruses from passing through the human cell wall, regardless of virus type. Thanks to this barrier, it can offer a protective effect against viral infections independent of the virus type. Products containing Cistus Creticus may help protect against viral infections during the pandemic period."
