Home Remedies for Cracked Heels
Shoes, dry skin, and excess weight increase pressure on our heels and can cause cracking. However, you can heal cracked heels with home treatment methods...

Honey
Thanks to its moisturizing and antibacterial properties, honey is an excellent product for dry and cracked heels. Here is what you need to do: Add 1 cup of honey to a basin of warm water and stir well. Place your feet in the water and wait for 15–20 minutes. Gently scrub your feet. Apply every day or several times a week until you see improvement.

Moisturizing Cream
If the cracks on your heels deepen enough, they can cause pain and bleeding. That is why you should take the necessary precautions before the cracks get worse. The first thing you should do is get a good moisturizing cosmetic cream. After getting out of the shower, while your feet are still damp, work the cream thoroughly into your heels and put on cotton socks so the cream penetrates the skin better.

Rose Water and Glycerin
A mixture of rose water and glycerin is good for cracked heels. Glycerin softens the skin and is widely used in cosmetics for this reason. Rose water adds Vitamins A, B3, C, D, and E. All you need to do is mix equal amounts of rose water and glycerin and apply it to your heels and feet before going to bed.

Rice Flour Scrub
Exfoliating your feet and heels helps remove dead skin. The ingredients you will need are: 1 handful of rice flour, a few teaspoons of honey, and apple cider vinegar. Mix all the ingredients until you get a thick paste, and if the cracks are very bad, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil or sweet almond oil. Soak your feet in warm water for about 10 minutes and then gently scrub them with the mixture you have prepared.

Basin of Water
Soaking your feet in a basin of water for about half an hour will both eliminate foot odor and moisturize your feet. Just be careful that the water is not too hot, because hot water can reduce the skin's moisture. After removing your feet from the water, you can apply moisturizing cream to your entire foot, starting with the heels.

Banana
Ripe bananas are one of the cheapest remedies for cracked and dry heels. Here are the steps to follow for this method: Mash 1 ripe banana thoroughly and apply it to your cleaned feet. Wait about 10–15 minutes to allow the skin to absorb the mixture. Then wash your feet with warm water and soak them in cold water for 5–10 minutes. Apply every day for several weeks to achieve softer and smoother heels.

Lemon Water
The acidic property of lemon is very effective at softening hard skin and naturally preventing cracks. Soak your feet in warm water with lemon juice added for 10–15 minutes. Avoid using hot water, as it can cause your feet to dry out even more. Wash your feet and pat them dry with a towel.

Vaseline
If you cannot find a suitable moisturizer, you can use Vaseline. Vaseline forms a layer over the skin, locking in moisture and softening hardened, dry heels. If you apply Vaseline before going to bed and put on cotton socks, your heels will be softer in the morning.

Honey and Olive Oil Treatment
A treatment prepared with honey and olive oil can help soften your heels and heal cracks. Mix 1 teaspoon of honey thoroughly with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Rub this mixture onto your heels and leave it on for about 20 minutes. This treatment will soften your skin and, thanks to honey's antibacterial properties, protect the cracks from possible infections.
