Wash the 7 green beans, trim the ends, and cut them in half lengthwise down the middle. Then cut each half into thirds or quarters lengthwise, depending on their size. In a soup pot, sauté 1 finely diced onion in ½ tea glass (about 50 ml / 3 tbsp) of vegetable oil. Add 1 potato cut into cubes. Stir in 1 tablespoon of flour, mix once or twice, then add slightly more than enough water to fill the pot halfway. Stir until the flour is fully dissolved. Add the green beans, season with ½ dessert spoon (about 1 tsp) of salt, and cook until the green beans are tender. Once cooked, stir in 1 package of heavy cream and bring to a brief boil. Serve topped with diced white cheese (similar to feta) or drizzled with melted butter infused with red pepper flakes, as you prefer.
