Sort and rinse 1 water glass (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) of green lentils, then boil and drain them. In a pot, sauté 1 finely diced onion in vegetable oil. Add 1 tablespoon of salça (Turkish tomato/pepper paste) and 1 dessert spoon of dried mint, and stir for a moment. Add water to a level about four fingers above the ingredients, then add the lentils.
