About This Recipe
The potato is a true gift that helped shape the rise of European civilization! How so? Had the potato never arrived from the Americas, Europe would never have become what it is today. Containing four times more carbohydrates than grains and similar foods, it contributed greatly to rapid population growth, the industrialization of the European continent, and the formation of modern civilization.
Potatoes are a fiber-rich food and also a powerhouse of vitamins C and B6. Recent research has also confirmed that potatoes are a great source of nitric acid and zinc. They are also known to reduce the risk of breast cancer in women. Against chemical pollutants such as air pollution and radiation, potatoes help cleanse our blood of toxins and support cell renewal.
