Ingredients for Creamy Spinach Pasta

  • 1 package penne pasta
  • 1 bunch spinach
  • 1 package heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 onion
  • Half a tea glass (about 50 ml / 3 tbsp + 1 tsp) vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

How to Make Creamy Spinach Pasta

Boil 1 package of penne pasta and drain. In a pasta pot, sauté 1 finely diced onion in half a tea glass of vegetable oil. Add 1 minced garlic clove and stir for a moment. Add the washed and roughly chopped spinach and sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Stir until the spinach is cooked through. Pour in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and stir a few times. Add the boiled pasta and stir a few more times, then finally pour in 1 package of heavy cream and turn off the heat once the cream comes to a boil. Enjoy your meal...

Pro Tip

Since soy sauce is already salty, do not add any salt. If you do, it will be too salty.

About This Recipe

This valuable member of the amaranth family was brought to Europe/Spain by Iranian Arabs during their travels in the 11th century. In other words, spinach's introduction to Europe dates back a very long time.

Spinach contains a very high amount of vitamins A, B, C, and E. In addition, it also contains the minerals phosphorus, iodine, and magnesium. Its most important feature is that it is a vegetable very rich in iron. There are two types of spinach: prickly and smooth.
Prickly spinach has spiny and angular seeds and lance-shaped leaves. It is more resistant to winter. Smooth spinach, on the other hand, has smooth seeds and broader leaves. The smooth variety is preferred both around the world and in our country. Spinach is a vegetable that must be washed very thoroughly before consumption. Because it has a taproot, the mud that collects between the plant's leaves can only be cleaned after multiple washes.

We can now make the most of this health treasure that is indispensable in our kitchens in almost every way imaginable. We love Spinach Pasta, of course — but what about our Creamy Spinach Pasta recipe? Then head straight to the kitchen. Bon appétit in advance…
