Ingredients for Mantı (Turkish Dumplings) with Pasta Shells

  • 300 g (about 10.5 oz) ground meat
  • 1 package mantı pasta shells
  • 1 onion
  • 1 handful parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1.5 dessert spoons (about 1 tbsp) salt

How to Make Mantı (Turkish Dumplings) with Pasta Shells

In a bowl, knead together 300 g (about 10.5 oz) ground meat, 1 finely diced onion, 1 handful parsley, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/2 dessert spoon (about 1 tsp) salt.

Fill each mantı pasta shell by hand with the prepared filling, one by one.

Fill a pot a little more than halfway with water and bring to a boil. Add 1 dessert spoon (about 2 tsp) salt, then add the prepared mantı. Once cooked, transfer to a serving plate using a slotted spoon and serve with garlic yogurt. If you like, you can drizzle melted butter with Aleppo pepper flakes on top.
