Ingredients for Mock Tripe Soup (Yalancı İşkembe Çorbası)

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 100 g ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 3 water glasses (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp each) water
  • 1 teaspoon salt

How to Make Mock Tripe Soup (Yalancı İşkembe Çorbası)

In a soup pot, sauté 100 g of ground beef in 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Add 3 tablespoons of flour and continue to sauté for a little longer. Once everything is sautéed, add 3 water glasses of water and 1 teaspoon of salt, then stir with a hand mixer and cook until the soup thickens to the desired consistency.
