Ingredients for Red Plum Jam

  • 1 kg (about 2 lb) small red plums
  • 1 kg (about 2 lb) granulated sugar
  • 1 lemon

How to Make Red Plum Jam

Wash 1 kg (about 2 lb) of small red plums and place them in a pot. Pour 1 kg (about 2 lb) of granulated sugar over them. Let them sit for one day. The next day, place the pot on the stove and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat. Once the mixture begins to thicken (reaching a jam-like consistency), squeeze in the juice of 1 lemon. Boil for another 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
