Ingredients for Yufka Chips (Crispy Turkish Phyllo Chips)
- 1 sheet yufka (thin Turkish phyllo-like dough)
- 100 g kaşar cheese (Turkish semi-hard cheese, similar to mild cheddar), grated
- 1 pinch oregano
- 1 pinch Aleppo pepper flakes
How to Make Yufka Chips (Crispy Turkish Phyllo Chips)
Lay 1 sheet of yufka out flat and cut it into long strips about three fingers wide. Cut those strips into triangle shapes. Arrange them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Distribute 100 g of grated kaşar cheese evenly over the top. Sprinkle with a pinch of oregano and Aleppo pepper flakes. Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) until the yufka turns golden and crispy.
