Ingredients for Baked Bread with Sauce
- 12 slices stale bread
- 1 water glass (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) milk
- 1 water glass (about 200 ml / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) heavy cream
- Fresh kaşar cheese (Turkish semi-hard cheese, similar to mild cheddar)
How to Make Baked Bread with Sauce
Slice the stale bread. In a bowl, whisk together 1 water glass of milk and 1 water glass of heavy cream. Dip the bread slices into this sauce and grate fresh kaşar cheese over them. Arrange the prepared bread slices on a baking tray and bake in a 200°C (390°F) oven until the tops are golden brown. Enjoy!
